Oikocredit surpasses € 1 billion development financing milestone in 2016

Spring 2017 marks a particularly exciting time for Oikocredit, with the release of our 2016 results in March and the arrival of our new managing director Thos Gieskes in April.
This edition includes the results press release, a link to our 2016 annual report, an interview with Thos Gieskes and an article about the work being carried out by our Kyrgyzstani partner Kompanion Bank to support local farmers and promote sustainable agriculture.

Oikocredit's 2016 full-year results

We announced our 2016 results at a press conference in Germany on 23 March. Our development financing portfolio exceeded the € 1 billion milestone for the first time, and we grew in our focus areas of inclusive finance, agriculture, renewable energy and Africa.
