Forty years of social and sustainable impacts

Since its humble beginnings in 1975, Oikocredit has had a considerable impact on the lives of millions. Over the last 40 years, Oikocredit’s work has improved the lives of low-income earners across 100 countries while remaining mindful of the environment. People are at the heart of Oikocredit’s social mission, not just the people who benefit from our funding, but also the people who worked to make this cooperative what it is today.

This quarter we not only present our social results, but also celebrate the many people and partners that have contributed to Oikocredit’s success. In this edition you will find our social performance report and results press release, an interview with our longest serving employee, Wendy Plant, and two partner stories about our long-term partnership with wool cooperative, CLU, and our first partner in Latin America, FEPP.
